Statement of Purpose
The pre-trib rapture has been a very popular doctrine since the start of the twentieth century. It is preached behind the pulpits. It has been proclaimed on the airwaves. It is taught in seminaries. There those who are called "prophecy experts." Many believers say the pre-trib rapture is "in the bible." Books based on the rapture have been among the best sellers in Christian bookstores. The most recent, "Left Behind," a series of books written by Tim La Haye and Jerry Jenkins, boasts sales in the millions. A movie based on "Left Behind" has been released on video. A prominent pre-tribber, Hal Lindsey has been called a "modern day prophet" in various circles of Christianity. The pre-trib position, however has not been accepted by many in the body of Christ.
The purpose of this site is to examine the "pre-trib" doctrine by seeking the scriptures and to see if it is true. My purpose is not to attack anyone's character. It's just not biblical. There are sincere believers in Christ on both sides. However, many on both sides have caused unnecessary strife on each other. Instead, we can examine this issue in brotherly Christian love, with an open and contrite heart, let the Holy Spirit guide us, and can be obedient to God's Holy Word.
If the pre-trib rapture is true then we can relax and we won't have to worry about what will happen to us and the church.
If it isn't true, however, then we must be prepared for it. What will happen when the tribulation comes? Many people who are pre-tribbers, will they be disillusioned if pre-trib is false? Will they be unprepared for the Anti-christ? Will they fall away from the faith because they listened to men instead of meditating on God's Holy Word? Will they take the mark of the beast? Or will they put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ?
If pre-trib isn't true, does this teaching belong in God's house? Shouldn't we be fully prepared for what lies ahead? Should we be ready and on the alert for the most troublesome time that this earth will ever know?
We may not be the generation that faces the Great Tribulation, but our children, or even our grandchildren will have a better chance of going through it. Is this something we should pass on to other generations if it's false?
On this web site we will examine the pre-trib position:
I invite you to read the articles posted on this site. You are encouraged to respond to my articles.
- There are two second comings: 1. For the Church before the tribulation; 2. When Jesus does battle against the Anti-christ and sets up his kingdom at the end of the tribulation.
- Jesus' "pre-trib" coming will be secret or invisible and will rapture his church into heaven; And his post-trib coming will be visible.
- The Holy Spirit will rapture the church into heaven.
- There are two resurrections for the righteous: 1. The New Testament Christians before the tribulation; 2. The Old Testament Jews and martyred "tribulation saints" after the tribulation.
I also urge you to follow the example set by the Church at Berea by
thoroughly examining the scriptures:
In this part of Acts, Paul and Silas were sent to the synagogue at Berea. These Jews in Berea were examining scriptures to see if what Paul and Silas were so. Now did they take them at their word? Notice the Bereans were examining scriptures to see if what Paul and Silas were teaching were so. Paul had a personal encounter with Christ. Jesus' disciples knew The Lord and were taught by Him. They were examined. There are many today who say they saw Christ in a vision or they received "a word from God." There are so called experts in prophecy who say that the pre-trib rapture is in the bible. If the Bereans examined scriptures daily to what Jesus' own apostles have said, then shouldn't we be examining scriptures daily to see what all Christians are saying is so (and not just the cultists, the ones with with shirts and ties who knock on your door)?
"Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all eagerness, examining the scriptures daily to see if these things were so."

"For as in the rain and snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth,
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sewer and bread to the eater;
So shall my word be which goes forth from My mouth:
It shall not return to me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding it in the matter for which I sent it."
